    Tom is a graduate of the Adelaide Medical School and is completing his advanced training in Urology at the Queen Elizabeth Hospital in Adelaide, South Australia. He holds a Clinical Lecturer appointment in the Discipline of Surgery, University of Adelaide.
    He was awarded his PhD in surgical robotics by Imperial College London in 2014. He completed his doctoral studies as a John Monash Scholar, supervised by Lord Ara Darzi. With engineer colleagues, Tom was involved with the development of the iSnake and CYCLOPS robotic platforms for endoluminal surgery. Tom has published more than 60 original peer reviewed papers.

She also manages the investigation of functional voiding disorders and incontinence in male and female patients. Her expertise is founded on experience at international centres of excellence such the Concord and Royal Prince Alfred Hospitals in Sydney and the Virginia Mason Medical Centre in Seattle, USA. Sophie holds a Masters degree in Public Health and advocates for system reform to improve patient safety and clinical outcomes.

She specialises in urology and continence with over 30 years of advanced practice experience in inpatient and outpatient care at Concord Repatriation General Hospital. She has completed her Master of Nursing, Nurse Practitioner, at the University of Sydney and is a Clinical Lecturer at Concord Medical Clinical School, University of Sydney NSW. She has post-graduate qualifications in urology, gerontology, continence management, health education, assessment and training. She is passionate about education and mentoring so that nurses can become the best nurses possible to support the care team, patients and caregivers.
