Memberships

Full membership is for Registered Nurses (Divisions 1 or 2 or NZ equivalent) based in Australia and New Zealand, working in, or having an interest in urology. You must be registered with the Nursing and Midwifery Board of Australia (NMBA) or the Nursing Council of New Zealand (NCNZ) to be eligible for this membership.

Full members are eligible and entitled to:

• receive notices of and to attend and be heard at a general meeting
• vote at a general meeting
• vote in elections for Section Committees
• be nominated as an Appointed Director if eligible under the Constitution
• ANZUNS awards and scholarships
• access events
• access educational material
• receive newsletters
• access Special Interest Groups and special projects
• discounted subscription for the International Journal of Urological Nursing
• membership directory entry and networking with ANZUNS members
• engage in/create discussion boards

In addition, Full members may be eligible to apply for Life membership.

Affiliate membership is for non-nurses with an interest in urology.

Affiliate members are eligible and entitled to:

• receive notices of and attend a general meeting (as guest)
• access events
• avail discounted Annual Scientific Meeting registration
• access educational materials
• receive newsletters
• discounted subscription for the International Journal of Urological Nursing
• membership directory entry and networking with ANZUNS members
• engage in/create discussion boards

Affiliate members are not eligible for:

• voting rights of the Company
• election to the Board or Committees
• ANZUNS scholarships
• access to Special Interest Groups and special projects
• Life membership

Student Membership is for undergraduate nursing students who are not registered or enrolled nurses and who have an interest in urology. You must supply proof of enrolment status for this membership.

Student members are eligible and entitled to:

• receive notices of and to attend a general meeting (as a guest)
• access events
• access educational materials
• receive newsletters
• discounted subscription for the International Journal of Urological Nursing
• membership directory entry and networking with ANZUNS members
• engage in/create discussion boards

Student members are not eligible for:

• voting rights of the Company
• election to the Board or Committees
• ANZUNS scholarships
• access to Special Interest Groups and special projects
• Life membership

Retired membership is for retired ANZUNS members, who are no longer registered with the NMBA or NCNZ. A declaration and a proof of retired status is required for an application to be accepted under this membership category.

Retired members are eligible and entitled to:

• receive notices of and to attend a general meeting (as a guest)
• access events
• access educational material
• receive newsletters
• access Special Interest Groups and special projects
• discounted subscription for the International Journal of Urological Nursing
• membership directory entry and networking with ANZUNS members
• engage in/create discussion boards

Retired members are not eligible for:

• voting rights of the Company
• election to the Board or Committees
• ANZUNS scholarships

International membership is for nurses (living outside Australia or New Zealand) working in, or having an interest in urology.

International members are eligible and entitled to:

• receive notices and to attend and be heard at a general meeting
• access events
• avail discounted Annual Scientific Meeting registration
• access educational materials
• receive newsletters
• access Special Interest Groups and special projects
• discounted subscription for the International Journal of Urological Nursing
• membership directory entry and networking with ANZUNS members
• engage in/create discussion boards

International members are not eligible for:

• voting rights of the Company
• election to the Board or Committees
• ANZUNS scholarships
• Life membership

Life membership is by invitation or nomination only, for full members who have held continuous membership of the Company for 10 or more years. The appointment of a Life member must be agreed on by the Board of the Company.

Life members are eligible and entitled to:

• receive notices of and to attend and be heard at a general meeting
• vote at a general meeting
• vote in elections for Section Committees
• be nominated as an Appointed Director if eligible under the Constitution
• access events
• access educational material
• membership directory entry and networking with ANZUNS members
• engage in/create discussion boards
